PsiNaptic's JMatos™ Software Makes Jini™ Network Technology Available for aJile Java™ 2 Platform Micro Edition (J2ME™ ) Processors

SAN JOSE, CA AND CALGARY, AB - PsiNaptic Inc., the leading developer of Jini technology for embedded processors, and aJile Systems Inc., a provider of low-power, Java technology based microprocessors and IP cores, announce the availability of JMatos™ on the aJile family of low-power, direct execution Java processors. This combined offer has passed the Jini™ network technology compatibility tests required by Sun Microsystems and extends Jini technology to J2ME/CLDC/MIDP resource-constrained devices.

JMatos is a significant step forward in the development of a protocol that enables resource-constrained devices to discover other devices and form ad hoc network federations in which information and services can be freely and easily exchanged by eliminating the need for RMI (Remote Method Invocation) and meeting Jini specifications.

JMatos on J2ME devices offers compelling application opportunities across various sectors, including mobile handsets, automotive telematics, medical device connectivity, security, industrial automation, residential gateways and others. Together aJile and PsiNaptic offer OEMs and application developers a tested and powerful platform with a very small footprint.
